Unit 13: Final Major Project
Planning and Pre-Production: LO4 4.1
Planning and pre-production are a vital element of any media production. This stage allows you to understand the process you need to undertake in order to start the production of the media product. There are two main areas of pre-production that have to be undertaken, they are creative and logistical. Creative pre-production focuses on the creative elements such as scripts, storyboards and style sheets. Whereas logistical pre-production covers location + risk assessments, consent, legal and ethical issues, schedules, call sheets etc. Then after pre-production, you move into the production stage where I have detailed how each shoot went + what happened. Post-production is where all of the logging and editing takes place, with a detailed day to day write up of what I did.
